Being one of the four largest banks in Mexico, it maintaining network of 5,200 ATMs and 1,400 branches with extended service hours (9AM-5PM) serving customers all around the country.
HSBC was the first Mexican bank offered pre-approved personal loans through ATMs. It also known for its program called “Children with a Future” which allows clients to make charitable donations through ATMs, an idea that has been embraced by bank’s head company in the UK.
The company also has a 19.99 percent stake in Financiera Independencia, SA de CV and its affiliate Serfincor, SA de CV which was acquired in the first half of 2006.
